Needs Assessments and Surveys
The Florida Professional Development
Partnerships have conducted annual statewide needs assessment of
special educators. The purpose of this needs assessment is to obtain
information about the training needs, professional concerns and
retention concerns of the individuals serving our students with
special learning needs. The SW Florida Professional Development
Partnership has actively supported the dissemination of the survey
and provided various educational materials as an incentive to individuals
responding. The data for the SW region of Florida (Charlotte, Collier,
Glades, Hendry, and Lee County) is analyzed and used in developing
our activities and programs for the upcoming year. A summary of
the findings from the past two years can be downloaded below.
